Dark Knight Rises Quick Sketch (34mins)
I finally watched The Dark Knight Rises today. The movie has a few kinks here and there but it was epic nevertheless. Initially, I was going to sleep going to do other stuff but decided to do a super quick sketch of Batman today (34mins). He was too emo in the movie so I decided to draw him at happier times.

London Olympics 2012 WIP
An idea/sketch I’m working on (epic attack of smiley faces). Might be completed two days later or so. Down with flu now, rats, cannot stop sneezing, almost finished a whole tissue box D:
I watched the London Olympics 2012 opening ceremony two days ago and was fascinated with the lighting of the torchlight. What’s your favourite Olympic sport? I like most of them but some of my favourites are archery, badminton, basketball and basically all the sports that require fighting with one another 😛

Wow, the image compression for WordPress is huge..not to mention that most of the details are either blurry, gone or crap quality. Well, anyways, this is the illustration I was talking about. It’s my second illustration painted directly in Photoshop without initial sketching and planning, yup, made on the go. I enjoyed this method though and may be using it more often in the future.
FYI, the guy in the image is the puppet and yes, he is on stage. A better resolution and quality is available at my website.
Lazy Garfield Quick Sketch 14mins
This was not the initial sketch/ illustration I had in mind for today but that is quite heavy artwork and will be covered in detail when I do actually post that one. This is my first sketch done in Illustrator without any reference. I ended up wasting a lot of time adjusting the brush size and erasing since I am still quite new to Illustrator but better late than never. For this sketch, I intended to give Garfield a lazy and dumb look and yeah, not intending to follow the original design exactly. Enjoy!

My scanner and internet (yes, ugh-uber-crap connection again) were giving me problems so I took a picture of my sketch. Yes, I like finding ways to show off my new sketchbook. LOL. Kidding.
I hate drawing hands..so I drew hands. No, I am not a masochist, I thought it would be good to practice on something I usually would not like to draw. I used my own hands as reference but made them more macho :p The actual sketch looks better than the captured sketch in this perspective but I enjoyed drawing this anyway so it was a nice surprise.
